Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi and his wife Kateryna Kit-Sadova candidly talked about family income, expenses, and attitude towards money in an interview with journalist Slava Dyomin. The couple explained from what sources they derive their main income, how much the mayor earns, and what he spends his salary on.
The Mayor's wife earns over one million hryvnias a month
During the interview, data from the Sadovyi family's declaration was discussed. According to it, Kateryna Kit-Sadova, who is a co-owner of the media holding 'Lux', earned about 12 million UAH in income last year. This averages over 1 million UAH per month.
Besides the media business, she also received income from other projects related to media and the medical field.
Kateryna Kit-Sadova noted that she does not see herself as a millionaire, considering large income primarily a responsibility. According to her, the level of earnings does not automatically imply a luxurious lifestyle.
She also mentioned that personal expenses remain quite moderate. By her estimate, the family's basic expenses currently amount to about 150,000 UAH per month.
What salary does Andriy Sadovyi receive?
The Mayor of Lviv reported that his average salary, including bonuses, is about 100,000 UAH per month.
According to Sadovyi, part of his income is regularly directed towards supporting educational and charitable projects. In particular, part of his salary is transferred monthly to the development of the Ukrainian Catholic University and Unbroken University.
Other funds are spent on everyday needs and work expenses related to his duties as mayor.
What the Sadovyi family spends their money on
Andriy Sadovyi admitted that he is not one of those who spend significant amounts on clothing or expensive accessories. According to him, he can use items for many years and rarely updates his wardrobe.
Among regular expenses, the mayor mentioned food and household needs. He also reported that he has not consumed alcohol for a long time and follows his own dietary system.
During the conversation, Sadovyi emphasized that the main source of the family's income remains the media business, established long before his entry into big politics, and all information about the family's earnings and assets is reflected in official declarations.
Earlier, Andriy Sadovyi proposed to grant men who are hiding from mobilization a guaranteed temporary postponement from conscription for a period of six months.
