The Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, acknowledged that the most challenging aspect of his role as the city head during the war is the daily funerals and condolences to the families of the deceased. In an interview with lviv24, he noted that everyone in a leadership position dreams of the war ending, as it is a very difficult experience that is hard to put into words.

«I believe that everyone currently in any position only dreams of the war ending. If someone cannot imagine what it's like, they can come to us, and I will show them. We have daily funerals. And every day I have to express condolences to the family that has lost their hero. Have you ever tried to express condolences to children, little children who have lost their father? You look into the eyes of a 10-11 year old boy who has lost his father? What can you possibly say to him?», Sadovyi explained.

Sadovyi emphasized that every day he has to face the death of people, and no award can compensate for this loss. Therefore, the Mayor of Lviv sincerely hopes for a swift end to the war.
