Friedrich Merz, the Chancellor of Germany, believes that every day Russia conducts an aggressive campaign against Europe, attempting to destabilize the situation and targeting infrastructure. He thinks that the Kremlin's actions are aimed not only at Ukraine but also at democracy in Europe as a whole.
'Yes, I see Putin. He interferes everywhere. We know well that he attacks our infrastructure daily and tries to influence public opinion,' said Merz.
Merz called on Western countries to support Ukraine in defending its democracy from Russian aggression, backing the position of French President Macron, who considers Putin a 'cannibal' and a 'predator' who does not believe in peaceful means.
According to The New York Times, Russia has carried out several attacks in various countries in Europe – fires, attacks on buildings, attempts to damage infrastructure to undermine the situation in the EU and weaken support for Kyiv. The Russian intelligence service is still actively looking for agents to conduct attacks in various countries.
Friedrich Merz believes that Russia's aggressive policy threatens democracy in Europe and calls on European countries to unite in support of Ukraine against the Russian threat.
