Nighttime Water Main Flushing Planned for Troieshchyna Residents

Планується очищення водопроводу вночі для мешканців Троєщини.

Scheduled Cleaning of Water Supply Networks in Troieshchyna

Residents of the Troieshchyna neighborhood should prepare for planned preventive maintenance on the water supply system, set to take place overnight from June 9 to June 10. The work will run from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, during which time water pressure may drop. This routine procedure is part of ongoing efforts to maintain infrastructure and ensure water quality. Buildings on the following streets will be affected:

  • Mykoly Zakrevskoho Street (buildings No. 27/2 – 49/1)
  • Ronalda Reihana Street (buildings No. 2/27 – 12/16)
  • Serezha Lyfaria Street (buildings No. 7/36 – 1/49)
  • Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue (buildings No. 16/12 – 36/7)

Kyivvodokanal emphasizes that this cleaning is a mandatory part of infrastructure upkeep. Residents are urged to follow key safety guidelines during the flushing. It is strongly advised not to use tap water for cooking or personal hygiene. After the maintenance ends at 7:00 AM, residents should run the water until it runs clear and free of any unusual odors.

Sewer Network Emergencies

Additionally, on June 9, two sewer system failures occurred in Kyiv: a collapse on a 400 mm diameter sewer line at 2 Tarasa Shevchenka Boulevard, and another collapse on 1 Mazepy Street near the Arsenalna metro station. Kyivvodokanal specialists are already on site addressing these emergencies.

Planned flushing of water mains is a critical measure for maintaining water quality and preventing potential breakdowns.

Troieshchyna residents should heed the safety recommendations to avoid any unforeseen issues during the work. The sewer network failures also highlight the need for prompt emergency response and regular upkeep of the city's infrastructure.

In light of the ongoing maintenance efforts, it is essential for residents to stay informed about potential disruptions. For instance, the hot water supply will be interrupted in two other districts of Kyiv for two weeks, emphasizing the importance of regular infrastructure upkeep throughout the city. Such measures are crucial to ensure the reliability of essential services.
