Attempted to illegally cross the border on a motorcycle
In the Chernivtsi region, a man on a motorcycle attempted to illegally cross the state border and leave for Romania. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the State Border Guard Service.
It is noted that a resident of Lviv region arrived at the international checkpoint 'Porubne'. According to the border guards, the man was aware of the lack of legal grounds for leaving the country and had no intention of undergoing border and customs control. Instead, he attempted to break through the checkpoint at high speed.

However, the border guards quickly reacted and detained the violator. He, along with the motorcycle, was handed over to representatives of the National Police.
Measures to strengthen border security
It is recalled that in Transcarpathia, concrete barrier blocks were installed near the checkpoints to prevent attempts to break vehicles through the state border. Also, as part of strengthening engineering protection, additional structures are being set up to prevent attempts to break vehicles through the control line, including damage to barriers or other elements of the border infrastructure.
By the way, on October 30 in Transcarpathia, a man drove a car at high speed through two closed barriers of the checkpoint and injured a border guard. As a result, the driver crossed the border and fled.
As a result of the attempt to illegally cross the border on a motorcycle, the man was detained by border guards and handed over to representatives of the National Police. An investigation is currently underway to establish the motives for his actions and to impose appropriate responsibility.
