Metalist 1925 signs Kosovo national team striker: contract details

The FC 'Metalist 1925' has signed a contract with 24-year-old Kosovo national team striker Baton Zaberghje. This was reported by 'Glavkom'. The contract duration is 3+1 years.


Baton Zaberghje was born in the city of Vushtrri and began his football journey at the local club 'Vushtrri'. He then played for clubs from his homeland 'Drenica' and 'Gjilan'. In the summer of 2023, he became a player for Albanian 'Dinamo City', where he played 83 matches, scored 23 goals, and provided 18 assists. He is the winner of the Albanian Cup for the 2024/2025 season and a bronze medalist of the local championship.


In June of this year, he made his debut for the Kosovo national team, starting in a friendly match against Armenia. His main position is striker. At 'Metalist 1925', he will wear the number 72.





As reported, 'Fluminense' goalkeeper Fabio has become the player who has played the most official matches in history. The 44-year-old Fabio has played 1391 matches at the professional level, surpassing former England national team goalkeeper Peter Shilton for the number of official games in his career (1390).


Fabio set the record in a match against 'America de Cali' (2:0) in the South American Cup. The Brazilian goalkeeper played the most matches in his career at 'Cruzeiro' - 976. He also played 235 matches for 'Fluminense', 150 for 'Vasco da Gama', and 30 for 'Unian Bandeirante'.
