On the first day of the launch of the "Winter Support" program, almost one million Ukrainians have already applied for the 1,000 hryvnias payment. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
The necessary assistance can be provided to all citizens who are located in Ukraine, except for those who are abroad or in temporarily occupied territories.
How to receive assistance
Applications for the "winter thousand" can be submitted online via the Diya application starting from November 15 or at a Ukrposhta branch starting from November 18. There are over 26 thousand points operating in Ukraine. Applications will be accepted until December 24, 2025.
The sum of 1,000 hryvnias can be spent on necessary winter goods and services: medicines, Ukrainian products, utilities, mail, books, and charitable contributions.
Usage deadlines for the assistance:
- until June 30, 2026 - if the funds were credited to the "National Cashback" card via Diya;
- until December 25, 2025 - if assistance was received automatically at Ukrposhta;
- until January 25, 2026 - if a written application was submitted via Ukrposhta.
Currently, at the start of the program, there is a significant interest among Ukrainians in receiving assistance, which indicates the importance and relevance of this initiative for the country's population.
