Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation has launched an initiative to audit state-run websites, mobile applications, and electronic documents for digital accessibility. The goal is to build an inclusive online environment for citizens with visual or motor disabilities and to align with European accessibility requirements, particularly the European Accessibility Act. In practice, this means public digital products should work for people using assistive tools such as screen readers or keyboard-only navigation. The ministry is authorized to carry out these accessibility audits and is now extending the new approach to administrative service centers (TsNAPs), hospitals, banks, pharmacies, and private companies.
