Virtual Workshops Focused on Chemical Safety
The Ukrainian Ministries of Economy and Environment, in partnership with Poland’s Chemical Substances Bureau, will host a series of online training sessions dedicated to chemical safety and the implementation of European Union regulations. These sessions are designed for officials from government agencies, business leaders, researchers, laboratory personnel, and industry experts. Participants will gain valuable insights from Poland’s experience, especially in areas such as state oversight and the operation of relevant information systems.
Training Schedule and Format
The training will be conducted in two stages: October 13–15 and October 20–22, 2026. Delivered entirely online, the workshops will be held in English with live Ukrainian interpretation available. The agenda includes:
- discussions on challenges facing Ukraine;
- interactive expert-led practical sessions;
- question and answer segments.
Registration details and the full program will be provided through links shared in the comments. This initiative is part of a Ukrainian-Polish collaboration supported financially by Polish Aid.
This program represents a crucial move toward aligning Ukraine’s chemical safety standards with those of the European Union, which is expected to contribute positively to the country’s environmental health. Collaborating with Polish specialists offers an important opportunity to exchange expertise, supporting the advancement of Ukraine’s national safety infrastructure. In light of global challenges such as climate change and environmental pollution, adopting European regulatory frameworks is increasingly vital.
As Ukraine continues to enhance its safety protocols, the recent training on psychological resilience and first aid for civil servants highlights the government's commitment to bolstering public sector capabilities. This initiative not only addresses immediate health and safety concerns but also underscores the importance of a comprehensive approach to training.
