From December 8 to 12, 2025, the Ukrainian delegation, along with First Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Roman Yeremolichev, visited the IMF technical mission in Vienna. During the meeting, they discussed progress in budget reform as part of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, as well as the use of euro-integration approaches and best practices from OECD countries. The delegation presented new budgeting methodologies based on EU standards, including the calculation of baseline expenditures and the costs of new policies. Roman Yeremolichev emphasized that implementing modern budgeting methods is a significant part of reforms in public financial management, contributing to greater transparency and predictability in the budgeting process according to European and OECD standards.
The Ministry of Finance continues active cooperation with the IMF to improve the management of public finances, adhering to international standards and best practices.
