Standard of social service for consulting on the adaptation of residential premises
The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Social Cohesion of Ukraine has approved a new State Standard of social service for consulting on the adaptation of residential premises. This standard introduces changes to the Classifier of social services.
The new service is intended for people with disabilities and persons with limited capabilities, which will help them adapt their housing to individual needs. The goal is to make housing safe, accessible, and comfortable for each specific person.
The providers of this service can be both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs registered in the Register of providers and recipients of social services. Applications for the service can be submitted in writing or online to the authority at the place of residence or at the actual place of stay during a war or emergency.
After assessing the needs, an individual plan is developed that determines the scope and content of the service for a specific person.
The introduction of this standard is another important step towards creating an inclusive society where every person has the opportunity to live with dignity and independently, regardless of their health status.
The new State Standard of social service for consulting on the adaptation of residential premises will help people with disabilities and limited capabilities adapt their housing for comfortable living, thereby contributing to the creation of a more inclusive society in Ukraine.
