Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that work is ongoing to strengthen defensive structures in the frontline regions. During his visit to Zaporizhia region, he received a report from the head of the State Special Transport Service, Major General Oleksandr Yakovets, on the progress of fortification construction in several regions of the country.
Shmyhal noted that 2130 strongholds have already been constructed, over 3 thousand kilometers of anti-tank ditches, more than 1 thousand kilometers of barrier pyramids, 16 thousand kilometers of the 'Yehosa' barrier line, and 4.3 thousand kilometers of low-visibility obstacles. He emphasized the importance of continuing to increase the pace of defensive construction and improving technologies to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities.
In the frontline regions of Ukraine, work is ongoing to improve the country's defense capabilities by setting up various fortification structures. According to the defense minister, a significant number of strongholds, ditches, and other obstacles have already been erected. This reflects Ukraine's constant readiness to protect its borders and maintain peace in the frontline territories.
