Comments from the Minister of Defense of Poland
Poland's Minister of Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, commented on the incident involving a Russian military aircraft that occurred over the Baltic Sea. He emphasized that Polish military forces successfully controlled the situation both in the airspace over the Baltic Sea and on the border with Belarus.
In his address, Błaszczak expressed gratitude to nearly 20,000 soldiers who ensure Poland's security.
“Another tense night for the operational services of the Polish military. All provocations, both over the Baltic Sea and on the border with Belarus, were under full control,”he stated. The minister also highlighted the effectiveness of the actions of Polish troops, who, according to him, perform their duties even during holidays.
Readiness of the Polish Armed Forces
It is worth noting that on December 23, Poland raised its air force in response to a combined attack by Russia on Ukraine. This indicates the readiness of the Polish Armed Forces to respond to any threats that may arise in the region.
This incident underscores the tension in relations between Poland and Russia and demonstrates the readiness of the Polish Armed Forces for a swift response to potential threats. Poland actively collaborates with allies to ensure security in the region, especially in the context of military actions in Ukraine and Russian activity in the Baltic Sea.
