Lyashko announced the increase in financing for healthcare in frontline regions

Ukraine's Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, together with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, visited medical facilities in Zaporizhzhia and checked how government initiatives for supporting the healthcare system in frontline communities are being implemented.



According to the results of the visit, in October-December 2025, hospitals in Zaporizhzhia region received over 70 million UAH in additional funds for payroll. Moreover, primary healthcare facilities received over 10 million UAH. This year, funding for surgical assistance in complex cases was also increased by 34 million UAH, which allowed supporting medical institutions in the region.



Support for Medical Institutions


The National Health Service of Ukraine paid medical institutions in the region 4.63 billion UAH for healthcare services provided. Officials also visited the emergency medical service station of Khortytsia district in Zaporizhzhia and several other medical facilities where reconstruction and modernization are ongoing.



As a result of the visit, officials supported medical institutions in Zaporizhzhia region by allocating significant funds for payroll and improving conditions for providing healthcare services. Such measures will contribute to improving the availability of quality medical assistance for the residents of the region.
