Inspection of the underground school in Ukraine

The Minister of Education and Science, Serhiy Lisovyi, announced an inspection of schools attended by students of the underground school operating near the monastery of the Moscow church in Ukraine 'Holosiivska Pustyn'. This decision was made as a result of an investigation by journalists that uncovered facts about the activities of this institution. The underground school teaches over 60 children, who receive education from first to ninth grade, and employs 16 teachers.

The director of this school is Anna Bolhova. According to information, the school 'Perspektiva' began its operations in February 2025. In connection with these events, the Security Service of Ukraine has also started an inspection regarding possible cases of illegal activities related to the functioning of this school. The State Service for Quality of Education has started checking the facts presented in the journalistic investigation.

Serhiy Lisovyi emphasized that 'the actions of leaders and educators will be checked separately and fundamentally'.

This inspection aims to clarify the circumstances that led to the functioning of the underground school and to ensure compliance with educational standards in Ukraine.

The Importance of Inspection

The response of the Ministry of Education and Science and other state bodies indicates the seriousness of the situation and the need to comply with legislation in the field of education. Such actions may affect the future of underground schools and their impact on the educational process in Ukraine.
