The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko announced that the 112 application is now available for download. This emergency assistance service has been developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and can work without mobile signal.

How does the 112 application work?

In a critical situation, the user can call through the app, and the 112 operator will assess the situation and direct rescuers, police, medics, or gas services to the scene. Before starting to use, it is necessary to authorize.

When is it useful to use the 112 application?

  • In the basement or in a shelter with Wi-Fi but without mobile signal;

  • In areas with weak or unstable connectivity;

  • During emergencies or failures in mobile network operation.

Future updates of the 112 application will include the option of calling using sign language, so that the service is maximally accessible to all users. The application allows obtaining assistance under any conditions, even if other means of communication are unavailable.

“All personal data is protected. The application complies with state cybersecurity standards. Data is used exclusively for processing emergency calls.”

The 112 application is an innovative service that allows requesting assistance at any moment even in critical situations when other means of communication may be unavailable. An important step in improving the emergency assistance system in Ukraine.
