Visit to the Children's Spiritual and Educational Center 'Ark of Peace'
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha, together with Tetiana Sybiha, head of the Association of Ukrainian Diplomats' Spouses, visited the children's spiritual and educational center 'Ark of Peace'. During the meeting with chaplain Volodymyr Zavadskyi, issues related to the center's activities were discussed, which provides support to children of internally displaced persons.
The 'Ark of Peace' center was founded in 2016 near Mariupol. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the center evacuated its students from the epicenter of hostilities and resumed its work in the Transcarpathian region. In 2023, the first visit of Olena Zelenska to the children of this center took place, emphasizing the importance of supporting children affected by the war.
Plans for Supporting Children
Andrii Sybiha noted that support for children affected by the war will remain one of the important areas of work for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Currently, a project by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Association of Ukrainian Diplomats' Spouses is planned, aimed at improving the health of children from frontline regions of Ukraine.
- This year, the rehabilitation of children from frontline regions has already been organized in Turkey and Azerbaijan.
- Humanitarian aid, clothing, and gifts for the Christmas and New Year holidays have also been provided, highlighting efforts to support the most vulnerable categories of the population.
The visits of representatives of the Ukrainian diplomacy to the 'Ark of Peace' center testify to the state's efforts to support children suffering from the consequences of the war. This also reflects the importance of humanitarian initiatives that provide necessary assistance in conflict conditions. Continued cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Association of Ukrainian Diplomats' Spouses will enable the implementation of new projects aimed at improving living conditions for children who have experienced the war and restoring their sense of security and stability.
