Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga held a meeting in Presov with the Slovak Foreign Affairs and European Issues Minister Juraj Blanar. During the meeting, current issues regarding both countries were discussed.
I informed my colleague about the situation on the battlefield, Russia's strikes on our energy system, and the latest progress in peace efforts.
The participants of the meeting emphasized the active dialogue between the leaders of Ukraine and Slovakia, as well as the positive results of joint initiatives. They also stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the countries in all areas, from infrastructure projects to cooperation on humanitarian issues.
We are counting on a strong voice from Slovakia for a just and lasting peace and further sanctions against Russia.
Minister Sybiga expressed gratitude to Slovakia for supporting the Ukrainian energy sector and for supporting the Ukrainian community in Slovakia. Both ministers emphasized the importance of joint efforts in strengthening regional security and protecting European values.
