Ministry of Defense by 2026: 50% of procurements for the Armed Forces must be Ukrainian

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will direct its efforts in the next two years towards developing its own defense industry, improving the conditions for military personnel, and adapting the Defense Forces to NATO standards. This is stated in the draft Government Action Program.


According to the program, an increase in domestic production for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to 50% is planned. The launch of Defense City and the DOT.Chain platform for cooperation with suppliers is also provided. The Ministry of Defense intends to develop joint productions with leading defense companies and partners from the USA, Denmark, and the Netherlands. In addition, plans include integrating Ukraine into European defense investment programs.



The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has identified priorities for 2025-2026, which include the development of the domestic defense industry, improving the conditions for military personnel, and adapting to NATO standards. Active cooperation with international partners and an increase in domestic production for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is planned.
