Ukraine's Defense Ministry Expands Real-Time Electronic Warfare Logistics to Over 200 Units

Міністерство оборони України збільшило кількість одиниць електронної боротьби до понад 200 для оперативного реагування.

Scaling the Logistics Management System

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense is expanding its Logistics Management System (LMS) by integrating data on electronic warfare (EW) assets into a unified digital space. This initiative provides over 200 units and command bodies with real-time visibility of their resources, significantly boosting management efficiency. The system is built on the SAP software solution, a platform already utilized by more than 90% of NATO armies. This move aligns Ukraine's military logistics more closely with the standards of its key international partners.

The innovation aims to automate equipment requests and monitoring, saving valuable time and effort for military personnel. This year, the Ministry of Defense plans to deploy additional LMS workstations across military units, which will further refine logistical processes.

Key Advantages for the Frontline

The system delivers critical frontline benefits:

  • Instant requests, which units can generate based on actual shortages without cumbersome paperwork.
  • Asset tracking that ensures transparency in the movement of every EW station—from warehouse to trench.
  • Technical monitoring that automatically signals when equipment needs servicing or urgent repair.

According to ministry officials, digitizing EW logistics is not just about convenience but also about accelerating response times to threats. Every minute saved on paperwork translates to lives saved on the front lines. The adoption of NATO standards within Ukraine is enhancing the country's overall defense capabilities.

This initiative by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense represents a significant step toward modernizing military logistics to meet the demands of contemporary warfare.

The integration of digital technologies and NATO standards improves not only resource management but also operational responsiveness to threats, which is critically important in an active conflict. Over time, this system could form the foundation for broader implementation of digital solutions in defense, increasing the overall effectiveness of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
