The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has decided to expand the capabilities of psychological assistance for military personnel. Now, civilian specialists included in the Register of the Ministry of Veterans will also be involved in the process.
The new procedure for organizing assistance provides for the proximity of services: they will be provided in permanent deployment points, areas of combat operations, and medical institutions. The support format will also be standardized, and confidentiality of all procedures will be guaranteed.
Assistance will be provided by officials with relevant education, specialists from the healthcare institutions of the Ministry of Defense, and civilian psychologists who are members of the Register of the Ministry of Veterans. Commanders at all levels are also responsible for timely support provision.
