Ukraine has started an experimental project to create air defense groups within the voluntary formations of territorial communities (DFTG). The main focus is on enhancing air defense capabilities by attracting citizens to perform the relevant tasks.
Those wishing to participate in the project can contact the commander of the DFTG at their place of residence or the local military administration to create such formations together with military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Conditions for Joining
Ukrainian citizens aged 18 and over, who have undergone the appropriate selection and verification, can become members of the DFTG. A contract for 3 years must be signed, which includes a prohibition on performing other tasks outside of air defense.
Members of the air defense groups may receive additional rewards of up to 100,000 UAH per month, depending on the duration of participation in events. It is also planned to create new local air defense units to protect communities and utilize modern technologies.
The Commander-in-Chief reported that on the night of July 10, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 415 means of aerial assault.
During the mass night attack that lasted more than 10 hours, strike drones and missiles were used, making this incident especially significant.
The announcement of the creation of air defense groups in Ukraine, which include volunteers from territorial communities, indicates the country's efforts to expand its defense capabilities and prepare for potential threats. The contractual participation system and the possibility of receiving additional rewards may attract more citizens to this important activity.
