New contract terms for servicemen
The Ministry of Defense has started developing new types of contracts for servicemen and making appropriate changes to legislation. One of the key innovations will be guaranteed service terms, the military department reported.
- fixed terms of service from 1 year to 5+;
- deferral from mobilization for 1 year;
- additional rewards and bonuses for participation in operations;
- choice of military unit and position.
Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal noted: 'The new contracts are about fairness and predictability, addressing the requests of military personnel, their families, and society. We express our gratitude to the defenders who are fighting for Ukraine's future.'
After the legislative changes are adopted, the new contracts will be available for all who wish to join the army, both current servicemen and future defenders.
New types of contracts for servicemen are appearing, ensuring guaranteed service terms and additional benefits. This is a step towards fair conditions for the defenders of the country, which will contribute to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.
