In July 2025, the Ministry of Defense began using 50 new ammunition developed in Ukraine. This information was announced by the main department of life cycle support of armaments and military equipment.
These new ammunition includes cumulative, engineering, explosive, fragmentation, and thermobaric means intended for use with unmanned aerial vehicles. Over the seven months of 2025, almost 160 similar domestically produced ammunition have been developed.
«This is almost at the level of results for the entire last year – in 2024, about 170 new ammunition were created,» emphasized the Ministry of Defense.
What’s new in the supplies of FPV drones for the Armed Forces
Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that since the beginning of 2025, the Armed Forces have received more than 1 million FPV drones. New approaches have been implemented for operational and effective supply.
Among them are agreements based on tactical and technical characteristics and the DOT-Chain Defence platform, which provides military personnel with the opportunity to independently choose drones. The Ministry is working to increase the pace of supplies so that each military unit has the necessary equipment.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to improve armaments and military equipment by introducing new ammunition and enhancing the supply process of FPV drones for the Armed Forces of the country. It is important to have modern and effective armaments to ensure the safety of the nation and to organize the defense sector.
