In June 2025, the defense ministry approved a new camouflage pattern MM-25 for the production of material property items. This was reported by
Glavkomciting the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The procurement of the first trial batch of goods with the new pattern is planned. Currently, there is no talk of a complete transition from the previous pattern MM-14 ('pixel') to MM-25. The new pattern is considered as an additional option to the already existing ones - 'olive', 'coyote' or MM-16F.
The Central Material Support Development Department (CUSRMD) has already approved the updated Technical Specification A01XJ.29979-539:2025 (02) 'Cotton and Mixed Fabrics', which includes the camouflage pattern MM-25. CUSRMD has already received more than ten inquiries from manufacturers (suppliers) to study the new pattern and color variations.
The decision to implement the new camouflage pattern was made due to requests from servicemen who already use similar patterns for combat tasks. Previously, they were able to purchase such equipment at their own expense.
