Assistance for Residents of Desnianskyi District

In response to an emergency situation, Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy, along with social services, is actively providing aid to residents of the Desnianskyi district. A coordinated effort involving the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, the district administration, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, volunteers, and the mobile kitchen 'Foodtruck Food Without Borders' has enabled the delivery of essential support. This mobilization highlights the critical response mechanisms activated during crises in Ukraine.

Outcomes from Multidisciplinary Team Operations

Multidisciplinary teams have processed 832 requests for assistance and are continuing to work intensively to meet residents' needs. According to the latest figures, 2,000 hot meals were distributed yesterday. Specific aid provided includes:

  • Blankets and thermoses for 104 individuals;
  • Thermal blankets supplied to 86 residents;
  • A walker provided for one person with a disability.

Furthermore, five individuals were placed in a Veterans' Boarding House, and two were admitted to the Kyiv City Geriatric Center. Beneficiaries of the Territorial Center received 270 food portions, some of which were delivered to their homes. In total, 1,730 residents were fed at support points. The Ministry of Social Policy continues its work to ensure necessary support for all those in need.
