Trump's Plan for Ukraine: Concessions from Russia and Army Reduction

План Трампа для України: поступки від Росії та зменшення військового контингенту

Recently published data from the Financial Times and Axios revealed a plan for an American-Russian agreement to end the war in Ukraine. The agreement promises to hand over the entire Donbas to Russia, halve the Ukrainian armed forces, and include other controversial terms.

The 28-point document, prepared by Russian and American officials, was delivered by special envoy Steve Witkoff from Donald Trump's administration. Some sources noted that the plan is particularly advantageous for Russia.

“The plan is very beneficial for Russia,” noted one source

The agreement includes the transfer of the remaining Donbas to Russia, a reduction of the Ukrainian army, and the recognition of the Russian language as the official state language. However, Ukrainian officials consider the agreement unacceptable for the country and refuse to accept its terms.

“The plan is very convenient for Putin,” pointed out another insider

After President Zelensky's refusal to sign the agreement, Ukraine's future steps remain uncertain. A meeting with the American special envoy and the Turkish Foreign Minister has been postponed. Whether Zelensky will discuss this plan in Washington remains to be seen.
