The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, reported that currently 25 foreign companies, including giants of the global defense production, are actively working on localizing the production of Ukrainian products. Each manufacturer is cooperating with the Ukrainian government to ensure that their products will be used for the needs of the Ukrainian military.
We offer partners various models of cooperation, including the 'Danish model', Build with Ukraine / Build in Ukraine. The priority is for the main part of the company's production to be directed towards the needs of the Ukrainian military.
In order to reduce risks for investors and create more attractive conditions for joint ventures in Ukraine, the government is launching Defence City – a special regime for the development of the defense industry. This program includes tax incentives, simplification of customs procedures, mechanisms for relocating production to safer regions, expansion of government financial support, and opportunities for export and integration of the industry into global supply chains.
Calling on foreign companies to invest in Ukraine, the Minister of Defense emphasized: 'It is here that cutting-edge weapons are being created, capable of influencing combat operations. Investment in the Ukrainian defense complex is the best investment in the defense of Europe.'
Ukraine is actively engaging foreign companies for the localization of production in the country. The main goal is to provide weapons and military equipment that meet European safety and quality standards.
