Ukraine's Mobilized Soldiers Now Eligible for 3% Mortgage Rates Under 'eHome' Program

Бійці, які перебувають на службі, отримали можливість оформити іпотечні кредити під знижену відсоткову ставку в рамках нової програми.

Preferential 'eHome' Loan Program Launched

Ukrainian banks have begun accepting applications for the preferential 'eHome' mortgage program, now extended to mobilized military personnel. This initiative, which became more broadly accessible to all service members from January 11, 2023, offers annual interest rates as low as 3%. Among the first beneficiaries is soldier Petro Sydoryshyn, who was mobilized in 2023 and, under the program's updated terms, purchased a home in Rivne with his wife. This housing program is part of broader government efforts to support those defending the country during the ongoing war.

Impact and Reach of the 'eHome' Initiative

Since its inception, the 'eHome' program has enabled 23,039 Ukrainian families to acquire their own housing. The favorable lending terms are available to a wide range of beneficiaries, including:

  • Military personnel
  • Police officers
  • Teachers
  • Doctors
  • Scientists
  • Veterans and their families
  • Internally displaced persons

The total value of preferential mortgages issued exceeds 39.7 billion UAH, with 11,185 service members having already utilized these advantageous conditions to buy property.

The program sets limits on property size: apartments up to 115.5 square meters and houses up to 125.5 square meters. Recent government amendments have standardized the lending conditions for all defenders of Ukraine, aiming to improve housing conditions for families. By providing stability and a path to homeownership, the 'eHome' program serves as a crucial element of social protection for military families and other key professionals, potentially aiding long-term economic recovery through support for the real estate market.
