State Migration Service Deploys Mobile Units
From April 13 to 17, 2026, mobile teams from the State Migration Service (SMS) of Kherson Oblast operated in frontline territories, processing applications and issuing documents. Their primary locations were the village of Pravdyne in the Bilozerka settlement territorial community and the village of Borozenske in the Borozenske rural territorial community.
During this period, the teams received the following applications:
- 14 applications for Ukrainian citizen ID cards;
- 15 applications for Ukrainian passports for travel abroad.
As a result of their work, the mobile units issued:
- 18 ID cards;
- 18 international passports.
Enhancing Public Service Delivery
To improve public service, new schedules for mobile unit deployments are being developed. These initiatives aim to provide access to administrative services for citizens residing in frontline regions.
The work of the SMS mobile units is a vital component of supporting the population during conflict, when access to administrative services can be severely restricted.
Given the unique challenges of regions where war continues, such initiatives help secure citizens' fundamental rights to obtain documents, which can be critically important for their mobility and safety. This effort is part of broader attempts to maintain government functions for civilians in areas heavily impacted by the ongoing war.
