Ukrainian mobile operators have raised compensation for owners of generators that ensure the operation of base stations. They will now pay more for each hour of generator operation and allocate different amounts of reimbursement for diesel and gasoline installations. The new conditions for participation in the 'Communication Generator' project were published by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation reported that operators considered the risks and difficulties of working near the front line and set increased rates for powering base stations in combat zones.
The 'Communication Generator' project is an initiative that allows for maintaining stable mobile connectivity during power outages. Citizens provide fuel for the generators and receive compensation from operators for the costs. The terms of participation in the project have been updated to ensure the most effective operation of base stations in critical moments.
It should be noted that this decision will help maintain communication in overloaded situations, which is very important for the uninterrupted operation of communication operators and convenience for users.
