Combatting spam calls in Ukraine
Mobile operators have blocked almost 60,000 spam numbers in three months since the introduction of new rules on October 2. From now on, operators are obliged to block spam numbers, significantly reducing the number of intrusive calls to users.
Since the new rules came into effect, 59,071 spam numbers have been blocked. This decision was a response to the problem of spam calls, which represent intrusive advertising without the consent of the subscriber. The established rules are designed to protect users from unwanted contacts and improve service quality.
Actions of mobile operators
Mobile operators in Ukraine, such as Vodafone, Kyivstar and lifecell, are actively implementing these changes in their operations. Users can contact the operators for additional information and assistance at the following numbers:
- for Vodafone - 111 or 0 800 400 111 in Ukraine, +38 050 400 111 when roaming;
- for Kyivstar - 466 or 0 800 300 466 in Ukraine, 105466# when roaming;
- for lifecell - 5433 or 0 800 20 5433 in Ukraine, +38 063 5433 111 when roaming.
These steps help reduce the burden on users and improve the overall mobile communication experience.
