The International Olympic Committee has refused to comment on the participation of the Russian Minister of Sports and head of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyarev in the propaganda event - the opening ceremony of the 'Defenders of the Fatherland Cup' tournament, which involved Russian occupiers. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.

According to sources, Degtyarev expressed his support for holding the tournament, calling it an important tradition. He also noted that it is an opportunity for fighters to start a new chapter in life and find true friends.

«The IOC of Russia is still suspended by the IOC. Therefore, we will not comment,» - said the IOC to 'Glavkom'.

Propaganda event in Moscow

In connection with the propaganda event in Moscow, where teams of Russian occupiers participated, questions arose to the IOC from 'Glavkom'. Journalists inquired how the IOC plans to intervene in this situation and whether sanctions will be imposed on the participants.

It is worth noting that organizing such events is a violation of the rules of the International Paralympic Committee. During the sitting volleyball competitions, the team from Buryatia won first place, the Moscow team took second place, and the team from the Transbaikal region received the bronze medals.

The participation of the Russian Minister of Sports in a propaganda event raises outrage and questions about his responsibility and compliance with international standards. The IOC refrains from commenting, leaving questions unanswered, which causes more doubts among observers.
