Moldovan legionnaires reached a milestone: 80 goals in the history of the UPL
Defender of 'Karpaty' Vladislav Baboglo became the author of the 80th goal of legionnaires from Moldova in the history of the Ukrainian Premier League. This goal was recorded in the 51st minute of the match of the 6th round of VBET UPL against 'Obolon'.
History of legionnaires' goals
The first goal by representatives of Moldova in the Championship was scored by Valeriy Pohorelov on September 26, 1997, in a home match against 'Dynamo'. During this time, 22 Moldovan legionnaires have scored 80 goals in the Championship. The most prolific legionnaire is Yuriy Miterev from 'Chornomorets', who has 14 goals to his name.
This achievement highlights the significant contribution of Moldovan footballers to the development of Ukrainian football and indicates their stable presence in the championship.
