Dairy products will rise in price again in 2026: how much will prices increase

Price increases for dairy products in Ukraine are expected starting January 2026. The cost of milk, butter, and fermented dairy products is anticipated to rise by 7-10% after the New Year and Christmas holidays. This price increase comes on the backdrop of rising dairy product costs in 2025, when prices had already increased by 15-25%.

As of December 11, 2025, the average price of a 2.6% milk carton was 56.98 UAH. The lowest price for 900 ml of milk was recorded at 33.99 UAH. Prices for milk in various chains vary:

  • ATB – 39.60 UAH (1.5%)
  • Silpo – 33.99 UAH (2.6%)
  • MegaMarket – 46.60 UAH (1.6%)
  • Novus – 37.79 UAH (2.6%)
  • Fora – 38.90 UAH (2.6%)
  • Aushan – 39.40 UAH (2.6%)
  • Varus – 41.30 UAH (2.5%)
  • Metro – 41.90 UAH (2.5%)

Volodymyr Chizh notes that this particularly concerns butter, fermented dairy products, and products that require storage or processing. The predicted price increase for dairy products in 2026 is part of the overall trend of rising prices for food products in Ukraine.

The expected increase in prices for dairy products in Ukraine in 2026 may impact household budgets, as dairy products are an important part of most Ukrainians' diets.

This also reflects the general economic situation in the country, where inflation and rising production costs continue to affect the market. Consumers should be prepared for changes in the prices of essential food products, as the trend of rising prices may continue.
