The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine has identified priority support groups in the labor market until 2030. Among them are youth, women, war veterans, internally displaced persons, people with disabilities, and the elderly.
The employment strategy is based on the principles of human-centeredness and inclusion. It involves the development of services for parents who work and care for children, creating a favorable environment for all, adapting workplaces for people with disabilities, informing about inclusive hiring, and improving employment programs for women, youth, veterans, internally displaced persons, and people with disabilities.
Support for the elderly and NEET
A special package of measures is also planned to support the elderly, which includes the development of training and retraining programs, incentives for the employment of older people, and outreach to overcome stereotypes about this category of workers.
For youth who are not working, studying, or receiving vocational training (NEET), a system for identification, outreach to such individuals, and early intervention is planned.
The implementation of the Employment Strategy of the Population of Ukraine for 2030 includes support and development of special programs for key groups of the population aimed at their integration into the labor market through inclusiveness and support for socio-economic inclusion.
