The Ukrainian youth hockey team had a successful start at the World Championship in Division 1A, defeating the Kazakhstan team. The match was very tense, with a particularly difficult first period. Our team conceded the first goal but managed to equalize in the third period and win in the decisive overtime.
The Ukrainians played more confidently after the break, but could not score, yet they managed to change the course of the game. The hero of the match was the Kazakh goalkeeper, who made 20 saves. However, our team secured the victory with a goal in extra time.
