The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine adds that it is planned that a quarter of the teachers providing their services in schools with reservations will stay in their jobs. According to Deputy Minister Nadiya Kuzmicheva, this step will partially solve the problem of staff shortages in the fields of information technology and natural sciences.

'But this plan may change. After the state of martial law ends, most young educators may leave the education system as they are attracted not by the pedagogical profession itself but by the possibility of job reservation'

Kuzmicheva emphasized that there is an uneven distribution of teachers between cities and rural areas. However, the government believes that the reservation system will partially compensate for this problem. It was noted that to retain teachers in the profession, new approaches need to be considered, such as short training courses for specialists from other fields who can quickly prepare to work in schools. This initiative is being discussed by the public within the Framework Concept of Teachers' Professional Development developed by the Ministry of Education and Science.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science plans to keep a quarter of teachers in schools under reservation to ensure that the national education system is staffed and to retain more experienced personnel. However, they acknowledge that new ways to attract young specialists to the teaching field need to be sought.
