The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed decrees appointing new officials for Ukraine in various countries and international organizations. Positions were also provided for permanent representatives at international organizations. Among the new ambassadors are representatives for Austria, Angola, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Canada, and other countries. New responsibilities for other officials of the Ukrainian diplomatic service were also outlined.
Moratorium on Business Inspections
The decision of the National Security and Defense Council has granted the Ukrainian business a moratorium on inspections by state authorities, which is expected to promote its development. President Zelensky emphasized the importance of quickly implementing necessary decisions for economic security and cooperation with foreign partners.
Law enforcement detained an NABU employee
An employee of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has been detained in Kyiv for espionage in favor of Russian special services. No fewer than 60 instances of information transfer to the former deputy head of security of Viktor Yanukovych, who fled to Russia in 2014, were identified. The spy collected data about Ukrainian security forces for the FSB for the purpose of terrorist acts and other operations.
