Weather forecast in Ukraine for January
Frosty and windy weather with precipitation, including snow, is expected in Ukraine, with possible warming from mid-January. On the night of January 11, temperatures in Ukraine will drop to -7 to -14 degrees, in the northern part of the country - from -14 to -18 degrees. During the day on January 11, the air temperature will fluctuate from -5 to -12 degrees, and in eastern Ukraine, warming up to 0 to +5 degrees is predicted.
Severe frosts will grip northern Ukraine, where temperatures at night in Kyiv will drop to -16 degrees, and during the day will fluctuate between -10 and -12 degrees. Snowfall is forecasted in the western regions of Ukraine, while in the east, wet snow and rain are expected. Winds in the east and northeast will have stormy gusts of 15-20 m/s.

According to forecasters, frosts in Ukraine will begin to weaken from January 15. It is expected that from January 17 to 19, there will be a weakening of the cold during the daytime. The Cabinet of Ministers recommends switching to distance learning or extending winter holidays for at least until January 19, 2026.
