During the third round of the Ukrainian championship, midfielder Iryna Maiborodina from the 'Sisters' team was shown a yellow card for a foul, and then for criticizing the use of the Russian language. This incident occurred during the match against the Kovalivka 'Kolос'.


In the 43rd minute, players from 'Sisters' and 'Kolос' clashed after contact on the field. The referee decided not to punish the defender from 'Kolос', but Maiborodina demanded a yellow card for her opponent. The referee immediately showed a yellow card to Iryna for aggressive remarks made in Russian.


Even after this incident, Maiborodina endured until the end of the match, not being substituted. Her team won with a score of 2:1. 'Sisters' remain without any points lost in the Ukrainian championship, just like 'Metalist 1925', 'Vorskla', and 'Shakhtar'.
