The Ukrainian Ministry of Health reported that 2,481 facilities within 800 healthcare institutions have been damaged or completely destroyed in the country. In total, 2,155 facilities experienced partial damage, while 326 were completely destroyed.

The regions that felt the largest losses from the damage to medical facilities include: Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk. It is worth noting that to this day, 667 facilities have been fully restored, 320 partially, and 50 facilities have been rebuilt but have been damaged again.

Despite the destruction, the majority of damaged institutions continue to provide medical services. In particular, medical services are fully available at 1,491 facilities, another 187 are partially operational, and 228 have been temporarily relocated to other premises.

Information about facilities in temporarily occupied territories remains limited due to difficulties in accessing data. Furthermore, during the conflict, 278 ambulances were destroyed, 131 damaged, and 80 captured.

The Ministry of Health, along with other partners, continues intensive work on the restoration of damaged institutions to ensure quality medical care for all citizens of Ukraine even in times of war. This allows hospitals to resume operations and provide patients with necessary services.

Ukrainian medical facilities have suffered due to the war, but thanks to the work of the Ministry of Health and its employees, many institutions have already been restored or partially opened for patients. Regional medical institutions have been the most affected, but efforts from therapy and surgery graduates have managed to provide medical assistance under difficult conditions. It is important to continue the restoration of facilities and support medical personnel in their work to ensure the population receives quality medical care.
