The Ministry of Health is gradually expanding the rehabilitation system for citizens. According to the Ministry of Health, 367 medical institutions are already providing free assistance in inpatient settings, and 512 in outpatient form. During the first 8 months of 2025, over 286 thousand people used rehabilitation services, and the state's total expenses for these services amounted to over 3 billion UAH.
The task for the next year is to develop outpatient rehabilitation to make it accessible to every community. The Ministry of Health has already introduced a new format of assistance - rehabilitation mono-service, which facilitates patients' access to treatment and distributes the workload on medical institutions. As part of the nationwide mental health program, an ecosystem for mental health care is being created, which has already allowed for the opening of 104 mental health centers, with plans for at least 200 more new centers.
Rehabilitation in the healthcare sector is gradually expanding, providing free assistance in inpatient and outpatient settings. Future plans include the development of outpatient rehabilitation and the establishment of new mental health centers to support the mental health of citizens.
