In Ukraine, it is no longer necessary to have a medical certificate to swim in a pool. The Ministry of Health has not established any rules regarding this, and sanitary standards do not require medical examinations for visitors. This information was published in the newspaper 'Hromadske'.

This requirement has been in place since Soviet times, when the water in pools was not so effectively cleaned, and medical certificates were necessary. But today, the safety of pools is ensured by the quality of water treatment, which pool owners are responsible for.

Consumer rights restrictions due to the requirement for a medical certificate

Experts believe that the requirement to present medical certificates, which is not provided for by law, may violate consumers' rights under Ukrainian legislation. 'If you feel unwell, it is better to avoid visiting the pool and consult a doctor,' the agency advised.

After the removal of the requirement for a medical certificate for visiting pools, Ukrainian consumers have gained greater freedom of choice and more opportunities for sports and active recreation without unnecessary formalities.
