Reaction to the IPC decision regarding Russia and Belarus

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matviy Bidny, expressed his position on the restoration of the membership of the IPC of Russia and Belarus in the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). In a comment for Tribuna.com, he urged European partners to fight for a sport that will be free from Russian propaganda.

The minister also expressed doubts about the integrity of sports organizations, stressing that the IPC's decision regarding Russia and Belarus raises questions about the value of Olympic values in sports. He also questioned the price at which conscience and interests can be sold.

Secondly, this country, whose mentality is based on contempt for rules and values, has never spared resources to promote its interests.

Bidny also emphasized that Ukraine will determine its participation in the Games considering its own national interests. It should be noted that the International Paralympic Committee restored Russia's membership after a previous disqualification.

Matviy Bidny's comments reflect the concern of a Ukrainian citizen regarding the IPC's decision on the membership of Russia and Belarus. He emphasized the importance of fighting for honesty and principles in sports, as well as raising controversial questions about the morality of the committee's decision.
