National Road Safety Awareness Campaign Launched

Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs, in partnership with Avtoradio, has rolled out a public awareness initiative as part of the All-Ukrainian Road Safety Week. The campaign aims to educate users of light electric vehicles—such as e-scooters and monowheels—on essential safety regulations, since these devices are now legally classified as vehicles under Ukrainian law.

Key Safety Guidelines

The campaign stresses that safe travel starts with personal responsibility. Its core safety rules focus on:

  • adhering to speed limits;
  • ensuring child safety requirements;
  • offering practical advice for parents.

These recommendations are designed to minimize the risks associated with using light electric transport and to protect all road users.

As e-transport continues to surge in popularity across Ukraine, such initiatives represent a critical step toward modernizing road safety approaches. Raising awareness among riders of light electric vehicles can significantly reduce accidents and injuries caused by traffic violations. It may also encourage further development of urban infrastructure to support safe mobility.
