112 App for Emergency Assistance
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has developed the 112 app for emergency assistance calls, which can function without a mobile connection. This new service is already available for download, making it an important tool in critical situations.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, reported that the app allows users to make calls in critical situations even if they do not have mobile signal. He noted,
"112 is about the ability to get help under any circumstances. Even when other communication channels are unavailable."This is particularly relevant in situations where people may find themselves in conditions where mobile network connectivity is limited or non-existent.
Advantages of the 112 App
The 112 app can be useful in basements or shelters where there is Wi-Fi but no mobile signal. It will also be helpful in areas with weak or unstable coverage, as well as during emergencies or disruptions in mobile network operation. Ihor Klymenko emphasized that all personal data of users is protected and that the app complies with state cybersecurity standards.
The implementation of such a solution is an important step in improving the emergency assistance system in Ukraine, as it provides access to help in conditions where traditional means of communication do not work. This is particularly important in the context of modern challenges faced by the country, especially during military actions or natural disasters. With the new app, Ukrainians gain an additional level of security and support that can save lives in critical situations.
