The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the path to peace in Ukraine cannot be determined without our country. This was stated in a post by the Ministry on social media.
'Ukraine and its partners have a principled and clear stance on the path to peace: it cannot be determined without our country, and negotiations can only be productive after a ceasefire has been achieved,' the foreign policy agency noted.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybyha noted that Russia intends to continue the war. 'No one strives for peace more than Ukrainians. No one strives for peace more than Europeans. But Russia sees its goal in waging war. Russia prefers to build new walls on our path to a just and lasting peace. It wants to block our freedom,' the head of the Ministry stated.
Sybyha emphasized that transatlantic unity among democracies is stronger than Russian imperialism. 'Nonetheless, the transatlantic unity of democracies is stronger than Russian imperialism. It is through our collective transatlantic strength that we can achieve a worthy peace based on reliable security,' he emphasized.
The statements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs underscore the importance of Ukraine's presence on the path to peace and its defense against Russian aggression. It also highlights that joint efforts by transatlantic democracies can ensure stability and security in the region.
