New digital services for Ukrainians abroad
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, together with the State Tax Service, is launching new digital services for citizens located abroad through the 'e-Consul' system. This initiative aims to enhance the accessibility of state services for Ukrainians regardless of their location. Previously, the 'e-Consul' portal introduced a remote service for obtaining a tax number for children under 18, which has already been used by over two thousand individuals. In particular, 1,772 Ukrainians were able to obtain a registration code for tax accounts (RNOKPP) for their children without the need to travel or send documents.
Registration procedure and access to services
From the following day, the service for registration in the State Register of individuals – tax payers with an electronic card will be available for all Ukrainian citizens who are abroad and have a valid identification document. Applications for the service can be submitted:
- in person, if the citizen is 14 years of age or older,
- through a representative with a notarized power of attorney or a document confirming the authority of the legal representative.
The list of such representatives includes guardians, custodians, foster parents, parents-educators of family-type child homes, patronage educators, and heads of institutional facilities.
Applications can be submitted online through a personal electronic cabinet in the 'e-Consul' system or directly to the embassy or consulate of Ukraine.
