In the Chernivtsi region, repairs and modernization of the border crossing point 'Kelemenți - Larga' on the border with Moldova have begun. The infrastructure was in unsatisfactory condition, and customs officers and border guards worked in metal trailers. Now, they are expecting modern insulated modular buildings that will meet all safety, comfort, and energy efficiency standards.

It is noted that the repairs do not involve new construction or major repairs, but only the implementation of mobile and standard modular solutions. This allows for savings in public funds and time. After Ukraine joins the EU, some border crossing points may become redundant, and modular structures can be used for other purposes.

The renovation plans include replacing canopies and road surfaces, installing new structures, modernizing lighting and engineering networks, updating infrastructure in accordance with modern standards, as well as equipping with an autonomous generator for uninterrupted operation of the border crossing point. This will be an important step in improving both the work of the staff and the comfort of passengers.
